IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The Water & Wastewater Leadership Center arms utility executives with the management and leadership skills they need to excel as they meet the challenges of today – and seize the opportunities of tomorrow. The Center offers an exceptional curriculum taught by an unequaled faculty, invaluable connection to others in the sector, and a truly unparalleled learning experience.

TUITION

Tuition for The Water & Wastewater Leadership Center is $13,550. Included in tuition are 10 full days of instruction, curriculum materials, residential accommodations, and most meals. Tuition must be paid in full no later than January 24, 2020.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Applications are evaluated and acted upon as received. Applicants should complete and email the program application to both Chris Hornback at chornback@nacwa.org and Bredy Trombino at btrombino@nacwa.org no later than November 20, 2019.. All applicants will be advised of the status of their application no later than December 11, 2019.

Complete applications must include the following:

  1. Application form
  2. Current resume
  3. Letter of Intent

The Letter of Intent should outline the student’s reasons for applying to and attending The Leadership Center, describe the applicant’s current leadership role within his/her agency and outline his/her goals for the future.

CANCELLATIONS & SUBSTITUTIONS

If a candidate is accepted to the Leadership Center and is unable to attend, an alternate candidate may be nominated before January 24, 2020. Please notify Bredy Trombino, Water & Wastewater Leadership Center Program Administrator, at 202-533-1820 or at btrombino@nacwa.org immediately if a candidate change is necessary. Cancellations received after December 11, 2019, but before January 24, 2020, will incur a charge of 50% of the total tuition fees. Alternate candidates will not be considered after January 24, 2020. Cancellations after January 24, 2020, will be charged full tuition.

TRAVEL PLANNING

Leadership Center participants are responsible for their own transportation costs. The Paul J. Rizzo Conference Center is approximately 30 minutes from the Raleigh-Durham International Airport and two miles from the main campus of the University of North Carolina. Participants should plan to arrive in Chapel Hill the afternoon of Sunday, March 8, 2020. Departure should be scheduled after 7:00 pm on Thursday, March 19, 2020, or the morning of Friday, March 20, 2020.

TOP-NOTCH FACILITIES & ACCOMMODATIONS

All classes are held in state-of-the-art facilities at the Paul J. Rizzo Conference Center’s Executive Education program at the Kenan-Flagler Business School, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The Leadership Center is an intensive two-week residential learning experience boasting top-notch professors and state of the art facilities. With a limited class size, utility executives have the unique opportunity to collaborate and learn from each other’s experiences in addition to receiving unparalleled personal attention from faculty.
